What Does Your Sponsor Do For YOU?
If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!
I have noticed a trend that is very common among network marketing programs. This trend affects everyone who is involved with any program. People are being taught the same old story on how to market themselves in a way that worked 10 years ago. WAKE UP! These people who call themselves your sponsor better know how to teach you to market yourself; before you market anything else. If you don’t get this then don’t start a program or you WILL FAIL.
I can just feel this question coming; so how do you do it?
To get you started; I have some questions for you.
How can you honestly talk about yourself and not tell a lie while trying to sell something?
How quickly do you believe that you can build rapport with someone you’ve never met?
What have you done to educate yourself on the latest techniques to get people to call you?
Have you asked a sponsor these questions?
Whatever you do; don’t ask about the money. There is no use in asking, you will never see the money that your sponsor will or has made. Any question that does not consider you asking about how much money was made, is not a dumb question. Instead ask your sponsor how they can help you achieve results.

How You Service People Determines Where Your Money Comes From
During the last few weeks I been trying to think of a way to explain in detail a thought I had. In order for me to help you understand my thoughts; I must first set the stage for your understanding by explaining some views.
View:
A) An individual goes to a place of business because they are in need of being serviced in some way. It doesn’t matter what the service is as long as you understand there is a “need for service”
B) Many people have a job where they service one person; their boss. Even though they may be working somewhere like a theater or police station; they are still servicing just their boss. What the boss wants is what they provide service for.
C) A business services individuals by using a system.
D) The Human Factor: Whether we like to admit it or not; we all work on being politically correct to the people we know least. How we choose to be who we are is always up to us.
Now that you see some of my view point’s I’ll share my thought.
Work is about fending for yourself more than servicing others. Yes you might service many people in the process of helping one individual run a system. The end result is that you are getting paid after tax dollars for your time.
Having a business is about having, or building, a system that services many people who have a need for what you are doing. For those who know; yes under certain structures you are double taxed. People more than often forget to mention that you have more control of where the money goes.
I believe the folks at Life is Good have it right. Their slogan is “Do what you love; Love what you do” it’s printed on every item they sell.

Opportunity Shows Itself
I was sitting at the Starbucks tonight at a local shopping center near home. Then I started thinking about how to promote my business in the best way possible. Or have opportunities come to me. While sitting at a table just outside the main entrance I noticed I was basically watching cars go by.
As I sat there thinking; I thought about how to best position myself with my business. Then a thought came across that I should try and sit on the opposite side of the table. Instead of looking away from the entrance, I was looking at the entrance.
Watching the hot girls go by, switching my position at the table I was sitting at, gave me different opportunities. I was getting smiles, hellos, and people waving as they walked by.
Simply by changing my position at the table I was sitting at, I was getting more interaction with people. Sales people know, every person you interact with is a potential customer.
As I put it in perspective this evening. Where you position yourself with opportunity; is what determines what opportunities come to you. What opportunities are you looking for and where are you going to position yourself to get the opportunities you seek?

Start With Your WHY and End With Your PURPOSE
During the last few weeks I have been talking about Purpose and how it’s stronger than your WHY.
In my experience your purpose is usually larger than your why. So why ask WHY? Your WHY is great for short term solutions and it allows for you to have time to focus on your purpose. Also it can be a bit confusing when distinguishing that fine line between PURPOSE and WHY.
For Example: let’s say you are in a network marketing program and your sponsor asks for you to “find your WHY”. Anyone can come up with a WHY; “I’m doing this so I can have time with the family”, “I’m looking for more gas money”, “I’m trying to replace my job”. These are all good short term solutions. Let’s say your WHY is about family. You say, “I’m doing this so I can spend more time with the family!” As enthusiastic as you might be with the realization that you can spend time with the family; what really happens is just short term results. This is because you goal is smaller than you think.
What about PURPOSE? Going back to the family; I want for you to think why it is you want to spend more time with the family. What is it that makes you cross that blurry fine line into PURPOSE.
Take a legal notepad and divide it into three sections. With your mind focused on your WHY. Do the following.
Section one: write down all the reasons “why you want to spend time with your family”
Section two: write down the why for each reason as to why you want to spend time with the family.
Section three: look at your answers in section two.
Find the common themes that come to you the most. A good indication that you are finding purpose; is that it will bring up an emotional response. Ask a close friend or family member to help you find the common themes. You want a stronger answer. Take a moment to read those answers to someone; see what they noticed in you as you read each one.
This exercise may not provide an immediate answer. It will certainly give you a direction to finding the answer that best fits you, and who you are.
After doing this; my hope is that you see that your WHY is not the answer. Your WHY is the direction you must look in order to find your PURPOSE.
Once your PURPOSE is found; then your answer is found. Start with your WHY, finish with your PURPOSE.
